The Founders

Melanie Maria Rodriguez is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Milané Noir.

Born and raised a New Yorker, Melanie grew up with a keen sense for style and fashion. She was first introduced to fashion design when she attended Fashion Industries High School. By her senior year, Melanie’s handcrafted wedding dress was handpicked by Project Runway’s very own Tim Gunn to be showcased at a prestigious showroom in NYC. She then went on to study Art Advertisement at New York City College of Technology. Here, she was able to utilize her design background and apply it to effectively communicate illustrations and printed media ideas to business and consumer audiences. Melanie has successfully produced three events and one fashion show during New York Fashion Week and has featured custom garments on reputable outlets such as, ’The Late Show’ with David Letterman, and Glamour Magazine’s ‘Women of the Year Awards’. She finds inspiration for her designs in many ways including music, food, and her travels around the world. Melanie devotes her passion to crafting garments that are constructed with precision and a high level of craftsmanship to empower the modern day woman.

Brandon Julian Espinosa is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Milané Noir.

Raised in The Bronx, he became a first generation graduate from Cornell University. Brandon started his career in merchandising, which gave him the foundation and tools necessary to take a concept from an idea, produce it, and then bring it to market while simultaneously adjusting strategy. He later used his experience as a project manager to build a non-profit organization that raised $1MM to carry out it's mission in New York City and beyond. Brandon is a natural entrepreneur and has an aptitude for strategy.

Together they created, Milané Noir.
